"Withholding Love Is the Deepest Injury I Can Do To Myself"
This is my Valentine's thought to you: A couple of years ago at a journal writing workshop I led at Oaks at Ojai, a wonderful woman named Cathy Lind Hayes wrote this. As she read her piece, this line just stopped me in my tracks. I felt it run through my veins. It just blew me away... I know our hearts get hurt, and bruised, and sometimes even torn to shreads, but eventually we have to find a way to love again. "Withholding love is the deepest injury I can do to myself." Wow.
